Check out the new I Am Toronto Pearson

Robyn Connelly
Director, sustainability and social impact, Greater Toronto Airports Authority

I am a connector of dots. Although that phrase doesn’t appear in my job description or title, it sums up what I do every day. I bring people together to find innovative ways to solve tough problems. Dots. Connected.

You’ll see many more statements like this in the coming weeks. From today, we’re rolling out an exciting refresh of I Am Toronto Pearson that puts the people who work here front and centre — and I can’t wait to hear what you think of it.

Like our community, the new IATP identity is strong and bold. Based around “I am …” statements, it reflects the feats we all perform every day to put the joy back in travel. We’re movers of mountains, conquerors of the cold and champions of the skies. We’re protectors of all, curators of comforts and makers of memories. From the typeface, which is inspired by the signage in the terminals, to the captivating photography of daily life at the Pearson, the new IATP is rooted in everything that makes this place unique. But while it captures the spirt of the airport, it’s not going to stay just at the airport.

We’re taking IATP out into our surrounding communities to spread the message about what we do and let everyone know that careers take off at Pearson. Look out for our campaign, which will be appearing on billboards around the airport soon. And if you see one of your colleagues on an IATP ad out in the world, take a selfie and post it on Instagram or Facebook. Be sure to tag @iamtorontopearson so we can like or reshare it.

Our new look isn’t all

For the first time, the IATP website will also connect you to a world of opportunity through a new jobs portal for the whole of Pearson. The portal will provide a single point to access the latest vacancies from 400-plus employers throughout the airport, helping us attract talented people and making career advancement easier for those of us who already work here. It will feature compelling content and advice for existing employees, job seekers and the communities we serve.

Last but not least, the IATP website and newsletter are also getting a revamp. They’ll have even more content to keep you up to date with the latest developments at the airport and to help celebrate our many successes.

IATP was launched years ago to help bring the airport together. It’s a movement and a network of ambassadors who came together to build a sense of pride and community among all of us who work at Pearson. The new look is just the start of an exciting new phase of this work. There’s plenty more to come.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be celebrating the refresh with free coffee, snacks and swag around the airport. And in the fall, we’ll be excited to reconnect and restart the Ambassador program. If you see us, come and join us — because we are all Toronto Pearson.
