Here are just a few examples of who’s hiring now — and if you have a friend or family member who might be a good fit for one of these roles, be sure to pass it on.

 

Manager Operations, Airport Flow

Employer: Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA)

The role: The GTAA is looking for a manager to lead a cross-functional team charged with ensuring the overall smooth flow of aircraft, people and baggage at Pearson. This individual is responsible for identifying operational challenges in real-time and alerting all appropriate partners to current and anticipated needs.

Key requirements: Candidates must have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Aviation Management or Business Management (or equivalent experience); a minimum of five years’ experience in an airport environment; and a minimum of three years’ experience in a management role.

Human Resources Business Partner (Labour Relations)

Employer: Swissport International

The role: Swissport Canada, a leading ground services provider, is seeking a human resource partner to administer the organization’s HR programs efficiently and equitably at Pearson, complying with all relevant collective agreements.

Key requirements: In addition to excellent communication and organizational skills, candidates must have a degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial and Labour Relations and a minimum of three to five years of HR experience, with a strong emphasis on labour relations.

Duty-Free Liquor Specialist

Employer: Hudson

Role: North America’s leading travel retailer is looking for a customer service representative to work at its duty-free store at Pearson, specializing in selling its full assortment of wine and spirits. This individual is charged with maintaining stock and merchandising displays, achieving sales goals, and supervising operations of food, wine, and spirit tastings to ensure that customers are served promptly and responsibly.

Key requirements: Hudson customer service representatives require excellent communication skills, the ability to drive sales in a fast-paced environment, and the skills to handle difficult situations with professionalism.

Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic

Employer: Menzies Aviation

Role: Menzies is looking for a mechanic to diagnose, repair and service its fleet of ground support vehicles and equipment at Pearson, ensuring high attention to quality and safety standards.

Key requirements: Candidates require a 310S or 310T mechanic’s license and two years of experience (or a minimum third-year apprentice). An Ontario driver’s license is also mandatory.

Marshaller

Employer: Signature Aviation

Role: This leading global provider of private aviation services is looking for an individual to marshal in arriving aircraft by bringing out customer cars and limos, determining pilot fuel and timing requirements and discarding trash. For departing flights, Marshallers ensure all coffee and catering are brought to the aircraft and assist with light baggage and parking of personal cars.

Key requirements: Marshallers must have basic computer literacy, a valid Ontario driver’s license, and be able to work all shifts (operations run 24/7).
