Fasten Your Seatbelts!
A reminder to all Airport Employees to be safe and act safe out there!
All Drivers and passengers must always wear seat belts, while vehicles and equipment are in motion airside. This requirement is no different to driving on city streets outside of the apron or maneuvering area.
This requirement is enforceable under the AVOP Program Airport Traffic Directives, and an infraction will be issued for non-compliance (3 points). The infraction may be issued to any vehicle occupant found not wearing a seat belt.
If a seat belt is non-operational (does not retract, stay fastened or the belt is knotted), the vehicle shall be removed from operation and tagged for service/maintenance, until the seatbelt mechanisms are repaired.
Did you know? Ontario was the first province to pass a law, January 1st, 1976, which required ALL occupants in a vehicle, in ALL seats, to wear a seatbelt.

Holi and Easter
Earlier this week, many across Pearson celebrated Holi! Also known as the Festival of Colours, Holi is a Hindu festival celebrated by communities throughout the Indian subcontinent and around the world. Wishing a very joyous Holi to all who celebrate – Holi hai!
This week also marks a holy time as Christian communities prepare to observe Easter. If you’ll be working or travelling through the airport during Easter, you’re invited to join us for Easter Worship Services in our terminals. Details of the Easter season Mass schedule can be found here. To all who observe this special time, Happy Easter!
