New diversity, equity and inclusion web pages and resources

We're committed to celebrating diversity and building an equitable and inclusive work environment at Toronto Pearson. Our DEI team has been working hard to provide information, resources and training that will help us shape Toronto Pearson’s next chapter – an inclusive airport of the future where everyone belongs. We’re pleased to announce several of these DEI initiatives are now available.

New DEI learning modules

These self-paced, interactive learning modules can be done individually or together with your teams.

Active Allyship course

An ally is an active change agent committed to working to end oppression for equity-deserving groups. Through this course, you'll develop a deeper understanding of passive and active allyship, the key traits of active allies, the main barriers to practicing allyship, and how privilege ties can influence allyship.

How to Avoid Bias in Talent Recruitment and Retention course

Building and retaining a diverse team increases innovation, creativity, and productivity. In this course, you’ll discover how unconscious bias can lead to accidental discrimination and homogenous talent pools. Then, you’ll explore the problems that unconscious bias can cause in recruiting and talent management – and get practical tips to address bias.

Unpacking Microaggressions course

The term microaggressions refers to everyday interactions that are often done with innocent intentions but are actually snubs or put-downs. As you move through this learning module, you'll strengthen your understanding of what microaggressions are, their impact on individuals and our organization, how to recognize and respond, as well as examine some common examples.

New Toronto Pearson web page

We've launched a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion web page on the Toronto Pearson website to share information on our commitment to building an inclusive airport that is welcoming to all. It’s a vital next step in our strategy to showcase the important work we’re doing as DEI industry leaders.

This newly launched page highlights the important role that DEI plays in shaping the daily experiences of our employees, customers and passengers.
