UP Express fare increase for airport employees

Please be advised that effective January 29, 2024, Metrolinx will increase their UP Express one-way trip fare from Union Station to Toronto Pearson Airport for employees enrolled in the Airport Employee Program. The fare for Union to Pearson trips will increase to $7.41. The 40% savings will remain the same for Bloor-Pearson and Weston-Pearson one-way trips for airport employees. 

Alternatively, Toronto Pearson Airport employees participating in the program can purchase a weekly pass for $59.28. The weekly pass is valid for unlimited travel across the entire UP Express line for seven days from the day the ticket is activated. 

The new fares will be as follows: 

  • Union to Pearson, both directions: $7.41 (40% off standard adult fare) 

  • Bloor to Pearson, both directions: $3.39 (no change to the fare, 40% savings remain the same)  

  • Weston to Pearson, both directions: $3.18 (no change to the fare, 40% savings remain the same) 

Please note: fare discounts on non-Pearson trips will be eliminated from the Airport Employee Program, including trips between Union and Bloor, between Union and Weston, and between Bloor and Weston.

The program offers Toronto Pearson Airport employees a quick and convenient way to get to work with savings of up to 40% off cash fares. 

Participating in the program is simple and easy. Visit the UP Express Service Counter at Pearson Airport in Terminal 1 to sign up and start saving! To be eligible for the program, your employment must be based out of Toronto Pearson Airport, and proof of valid identification is required, such as a YYZ / GTAA Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC), or an employee photo ID which clearly indicates “YYZ,” “GTAA,” or “Toronto Pearson.”
