Who’s hiring at YYZ? June Edition

1. Manager Operations, Airport Flow
Employer: Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA)

Role: The GTAA is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic manager to lead a cross-functional team charged with ensuring the smooth and continuous flow of aircraft, people, and baggage at Pearson, and addressing operational difficulties promptly and effectively.

Key requirements: In addition to having a post-secondary degree or diploma in Aviation Management, Business Management, or equivalent, you’ll need a minimum five years of experience working in an airport environment, significant leadership experience, and demonstrated experience in serving a large and complex customer base. Strong decision-making and communications skills are essential.

2. Bilingual Accounts Receivable
Employer: Unisync Group Limited

Role: Unisync, a leading provider of corporate apparel, uniforms and protective garments, is seeking a bilingual (French and English) Accounts Receivable representative to monitor and process incoming customer payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures, ensuring the accuracy of customer accounts.

Key requirements: You are detail-oriented with a degree or professional diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. You also have a minimum of six months’ experience in an accounts receivable role, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, and excellent multi-tasking and customer service skills in multiple languages.

3. Bartender
Employer: Compass Group

Role: The Air Canada Signature Suite — an award-winning, 5-star dining lounge at Toronto Pearson — is looking for an outgoing, courteous, energetic, and experienced bartender.

Key requirements: In addition to a minimum of three years of bartending experience and a valid Responsible Beverage Service Certificate for Ontario, you’ll need excellent team-building and customer service skills. Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer is an asset.

4. Leader, Quality
Employer: Bombardier

Role: In this role, you’ll manage and coach a team of licensed Quality Inspectors and Technicians. You will be responsible for implementing and reinforcing Bombardier’s quality management system to ensure the required product quality performance is achieved.

Key requirements: Preference will go to candidates with a university degree in a technical, quality, or operational management discipline and a minimum of five years of management experience in quality assurance (preferably in aviation). Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills and experience working with unions and collective agreements are an asset.

5. Service Delivery Manager
Employer: GardaWorld

Role: GardaWorld, a global leader in the security industry, seeking a Service Delivery Manager to oversee and improve operational efficiency and drive strategic initiatives, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.

Key requirements: Candidates should have a post-secondary degree or equivalent work experience and a minimum of one to three years of direct management experience. You’ll need strong leadership skills and problem-solving abilities.
